If either Farmer's Respite or Brewin' and Chewin' are installed, water purity will influence the results of brewing and fermenting recipes.
When using a kettle, the purity of the water inside it can be seen by hovering on the kettle gui's water level display. The output of a brewing recipe will be slightly more purified than the starting water (+1 purification level), to account for boiling.
The water used in a keg for fermenting must be purified (in which case the output will be purified too), otherwise bacteria will proliferate through the fermentation process, making the output far worse to drink than the starting water (-2 purification levels).
