Thanks @ckmah for the PR; I reviewed the code, and it looks good. However, since the dataset is no longer available online and we now have a more structured approach to reference public datasets (including licensing guidelines) at https://github.com/scverse/spatialdata-io/blob/main/docs/contributing.md, I will close this PR. If any contributors would like to build upon this old PR and follow the guidelines, I would be happy to review it. |

Contributing scripts and link to a G4X sample dataset (~150mb) for testing with the
g4x()reader function inspatialdata-io. More details are outlined here scverse/spatialdata-io#281.
