Test: Revert #209

Pull Request #209 seems to cause failures to bump dpdk-sys in the dataplane repo. Let's try to revert it, to see if the PR is indeed responsible.

We keep the last commit from that PR, 5b4c414, because it's a regular dependency update, and because we have further updated these dependencies after the PR was merged (so removing this commit has little interest and would cause conflicts).
