Fix trailing whitespace in output functions

The output functions (notice, warning, error) were adding fixed indentation even on empty lines, resulting in trailing whitespace in build output. This change removes unnecessary indentation on empty lines to prevent trailing whitespace.

The clean_output helper has also been extended to strip trailing spaces from Maven logs, improving test readability.
