Switching to draft for now, @beikov suggested changing the JsonHelper serialization approach from invocation of static methods to a visitation pattern where we go through the tree of objects to write as JSON with a stateless visitor. This same visitor could be overridden to perform e.g. entity circularity tracking when needed, separating that logic from the document writer itself.
