Original issue was caused in how we handle mapping TableGroups and not how we create them. I went ahead and added extra test coverage to confirm I didn't break some potential chaining that is going on and found a second issue.
Second issue being a NPE within
createRootTableGroupJoinonlhs. This was caused by the wrong alias being set which led to the mappings being ignored. Thankfully it was a simple fix in making use of the passed alias which aligns with similar methods.If the second issue needs to be a separate PR will be happy to do that.
