does it require updating our local pnpm (for dev) or does it do it automatically for us?

if you installed with corepack like recommended (and like in the CI) you have nothing to do. Otherwise if many people didn't we may have to update moon's too to the same version to avoid inconveniences.

then just corepack enable in admin mode and you should be good (maybe npm uninstall -g pnpm too)
