Look into changes and understand original fork |
As log files can be very large, we do not want to use up a lot of memory by creating multiple scalars to hold each chunk.
Caused this error: Argument "1,329" isn't numeric in printf at tail_n_mail line 3803. Was introduced in commit 2f6a275.
The function does not expect $newsubject, and that is output to the $emailfile earlier, so remove it. Reported by john deydier <[email protected]>. Thanks!
This is to clarify the terse comment "BSD licensed" that has always been present in the main Perl program `tail_n_mail`.
