Node.js engine requirement mismatch after Next.js 16 upgrade
Medium Severity
Upgrading next from 15.4.10 to 16.1.5 introduces a stricter Node.js requirement. Next.js 15 supported node: ^18.18.0 || ^19.8.0 || >= 20.0.0, but Next.js 16 requires node: '>=20.9.0'. The project's package.json declares "node": ">=20.0.0", which no longer accurately reflects the actual minimum requirement. Users with Node.js 20.0.0 through 20.8.x would pass the project's engine check but encounter runtime failures from Next.js.
