We are seeing some test time-outs and failures in sycl_rel-6.3 compatibility CI. I suspect it may be related to this update.

Actually, it might be due to me trying to update sycl-rel-6.3 docker image to install pre-built E2E compression tests (related to #20381). I'm working on fixing it.
