Oh, I might have misunderstood the purpose of this repo. This plugin is already on the krew-index, so I guess it doesn’t make sense to add it here as well?

otherwise I’ll have to keep the plugin manifest up to date in two repos. Is that what most maintainers are doing?

Sort of, yes. This repository also acts as a custom index for installing kubectl plugins which may or may not be present in the krew index. See use-awesome-kubectl-plugins-as-a-custom-index.
