I found your discussion very useful; I was scratching my head over why the runtime was loading my MainMain.xib file and making menus even though I had removed the "Main nib file base name" from the Info.plist. But you ended with a mystery: you say you need to hide your nib files, but you don't say how. I've added a little sentence that suggests how you can do it.
