pain and tears this commit, never EVER NEVER change
.gitattributesand commit without having all files according to it. try tocherry-pickandrebasethem later omg, had to edit.git/info/attributesto nullify.gitattributesand allow me to cherry pick both, then undo that to allow me torebasebut then also commit the new non-link git files, squash and then reset that last commit and undo attributes. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIgnore the above, this adds to #109
