I design systems and then work in the code that implements them.
Thirty years of that: self-taught web design starting in 1996, an agency decade, then seven years on healthcare design systems. At Cerner I was one of two UX designers who provided technical design guidance on Terra, an open-source React component library. 80+ components, 200+ icons, WCAG 2.1 AA audited through axe-core.
At Oracle I managed a global team through the Cerner acquisition, designed healthcare-specific components for the Redwood Design System, and designed AI-augmented design processes.
