When more than 10 parameters are being tuned, then the linestyle will be varied so that the lines can be visually differentiated. This configuration will have a unique appearance for up to 40 parameters, but more linestyles are possible according to https://matplotlib.org/stable/gallery/lines_bars_and_markers/linestyles.html.
