We have to go to each implementation harness and support all old versions of it basically (and we only had time to do that for like 6 or 7 during GSoC). If I get some funding for Bowtie at some point I'd love to actually split each implementation off into its own harness repo and then have it be a bit easier to do this. But yeah that's the work essentially, implementations are very often very wildly backwards incompatible with themselves... |
