thank you @Chris53897 for contribution. sorry for closing this MR, but I've created a new one where I've additionally removed unsupported versions 8.1 and 8.2 (see #38) PHP 8.5. is now supported in version 3.4.0 |

The actual failing tests are unrelated. PHP 8.3 is failing.
