Recommended Login Method:
For optimal access to all services, please use the Lazy Media - Authentik authentication portal.
Upon redirection to Authentik, select the PLEX OAUTH option to authenticate with your Plex credentials.
To request server access privileges:
- Submit the Server Access Request Form
- Currently setup as a wait-list acceptance form due to advanced automations currently being setup based on the form and integrations into Discord Roles for the Lazy Media Discord Community. Please be patient and check back eventually for the form to be active.
- Monitor your email for approval notification and further instructions
Access Policies:
- Plex access is currently restricted to approved users only
- Approved applicants will receive complete configuration guidelines via email
Discord authentication is available with the following specifications:
- Requires active membership in the Lazy Media Discord Community
- Functionality Note: Does not provide Media Server access (limited feature set available)
- Dedicated support channels for:
- Lazy Media platform users
- Authentik configuration
- Ubiquiti product support
- Homelab applications
- Plex-specific features:
- New content notifications
- Monthly newsletters
- Media issue reporting
- Content request system
Current Development Status:
Automated role assignment is currently being implemented. Members are advised to manually select appropriate roles until the verification system is fully operational.
- Public email-based registration is currently unavailable
- Recommended authentication methods (in order of preference):
- Plex OAuth
- Discord authentication
For non-Plex/Discord authenticated accounts:
To ensure consistent service access across all
lazymedia.mediadomains, your account email address and username must match exactly on all integrated services.
Best Practices:
- Utilize Plex or Discord authentication where possible
- Avoid modifying account credentials post-creation
- Note that credential changes may temporarily disrupt service access due to current authentication system architecture
