Goals

• Job creation via REST API call and Command-Line Interface
• Daemon Runners for running enabled jobs and requested using the CLI application

Scope

This is the first release of backer which provides job creation defined by the YAML configuration file and daemon runners that automatically executes scheduled tasks (jobs) or those directly requested via API call by the Command-Line Interface.

Notes

Requirements to deploy version v0.1.0 do not include:

• complete notification system (still it can be included if completed before deadline)
• log retention policy (even if defined in the YAML configuration file)
• other CLI commands like inspect, list even if backend code exists
