gopkg.in/mgo.v2is not maintained anymore as can be read here. This PR takes care of replacing it with the recommendedgithub.com/globalsign/mgo.It also fixes a lot of smaller formatting and linting issues and makes it adhere more to Go and Go kit best practises.
