Without a container, the oldest Linux distribution I can build on is Ubuntu 22.04. Because of libc and libstdc++ versions, building on Ubuntu 22.04 will result in a MEX file that cannot be loaded on older distributions such as Ubuntu 20.04 or Debian 11.
