Error: Assets list not returned. Could just be a temporary error...

First thing to check is if you are using something like lil snitch which blocks outgoing connections. This is the most common cause of not being able to download a theme.

Not working with e-text editor.

Are you sure you are using the e-texteditor final version? Newer version of the bundle do not support e-text editor.
