This partly reverts michaelolof#40, and add a test for null object that can be set. Now nested object can be set without explicit mutation, even in submodule.

Fix #54
This is exactly the same as #79 but rebased with the last fix from #83. Some of this have been deprecated, since I improved getters.
I have been using my modifications for one year without any issue.
