No worries, I'll drop a comment when I think I've shaken more bugs out, the code looks like its been stable for years so no rush I guess (I think the basic design of this PR is fine, it just needs a little bit of tweaking here and there to account for edge cases) |

Mostly so I can use it with org-mode. It is a teensy bit hacky still but its mostly working.
