This PR uses approach 2 mentioned in #1067 since it would be the least intrusive and require the least human processing. the patch created adds all the changes in the
mobile_upgradebranch in a way that's applicable to loadgen'smasterbranch.It's meant as a temporary solution until either we update the
mobile_upgradebranch or merge it intomaster. Because the decisions required for these approaches take time.I would keep #1067 open even after this is merged, so that maybe we can have a cleaner solution as described above.
