Folder default chat options

What are folder defaults

Witsy allows you to associate a set of default chat options that are used when creating a new chat in that folder. Those default settings include:

  • model
  • tool selection
  • system instructions and conversation language
  • associated document repository
  • associated expert
  • custom model settings (streaming mode, temperature...)

How to define folder defaults

  1. Obviously, you need to switch to the Folder mode in the chat list pane: image

  2. Now, start a new chat and use the Model Settings pane by clicking this icon: image

  3. Define all the parameters you want to set as defaults. If you want to associate a document repository or an expert do so in the Prompt area, and submit your prompt.

  4. Once your settings are defined (and prompt submitted for document repository and expert), you can create a new folder by clicking the "Folder Plus" icon at the bottom of the chat list pane. Enter the name of your folder and confirm.

  5. Then, while your chat is still active, click on the three dots located to the right of the folder name: image

  6. In the menu, click "Set defaults from chat". Confirmation messages should appear.

How to use the defaults

From now on, when you want to use those defaults, click on the three dots located to the right of the folder name and click "New chat". You can now submit your prompt!
