This set of fixes make it so the extension actually loads passwords on chrome again. I did not write these; they are the work of @XuZhao0 and @xyzj91.
Tested on chromium-ungoogled.
May also fix some versions of firefox; it's unclear why firefox sometimes works and sometimes does not.
