This repository contains the data, GIS analysis files, and code for the research project, "From Narrative to Network." We transform the classic narrative of the Prophet's life (Sira) from a linear text into a dynamic, multi-dimensional spatio-temporal network.
By leveraging Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Network Analysis, this project moves beyond what happened to explore how and why it happened spatially, revealing the geographical logic and logistical complexity of the early Islamic state.

Seir aims to visualize the life of the Prophet in a new way. It combines narratives and geography to illustrate key events and themes. This project provides insight into the spatial relationships and movements across significant locations.

The Geodatabase is vital for managing spatial data. It includes layers for key locations mentioned in the Sira, allowing users to visualize the Prophet’s life in relation to these places. The database facilitates complex queries and supports various analyses.

After downloading, follow the setup instructions to install the application properly.
- After installing Seir, open the application.
