I am not sure where to find a "generic way" of formatting the messages. It might not work with some formatters. Since I'm a layman with Elixir still, I'd be happy to be pointed towards the right documentation here.
I introduced LoggerJSON for tests, since I'm using it in my project as well.
I silenced lsof warning me about inaccessible file systems when I ran the test.
And I fixed some deprecation warnings.
If you want me to change something, please let me know.
