I think this is a good idea since this is included in every other JS module and gives a good overall sense of our various JS SDKs' popularity.

Code Review

This pull request adds a useful NPM download count badge for the @openfeature/core package to the main README.md. My only suggestion is to use Markdown syntax for the new badge to keep it consistent with the other badges in the file, which will improve the document's readability and maintainability.
