Oh, I see: that was a different PR that was building. It looks like this PR built yesterday, but somehow the status wasn't reported back here to GitHub. I just kicked it to build again.

I see that the RTD CI did actually run -- both yesterday and just moments ago -- and it built successfully (not surprising, since this PR doesn't touch anything related to docs). Somehow the status is not getting reported to this PR.

Since the CI did actually pass, I'll go ahead and merge this PR.
