I am being rushed to merge this in so it does not necessarily follow all the guidelines...
What this does is consolidate various routes and modify the IAM to be mostly the responsibility of the calling application to handle, where desirable. This reduces the complexity of the Data Platform queries, but it does require some thought on the side of the caller.
