The update adds 11 new lab test concepts, removes 5 MSF mappings, and adds 9 CIEL mappings. Net: +11 concepts, +7 mappings.

Changes

1. Concepts

  • v23: 512 concepts
  • v25: 523 concepts
  • Added: 11 new concepts
  • Removed: 0 concepts
  • Modified: 0 concepts

2. New concepts added (11 total)

  1. 1297: Direct bilirubin
  2. 159646: Cerebrospinal fluid protein measurement
  3. 165852: Respiratory specimen severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) antigen rapid diagnostic test
  4. 166397: Serum magnesium measurement (mg/dL)
  5. 168216: Ionized calcium, serum/plasma (mmol/L)
  6. 170323: Plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) measurement (pg/mL)
  7. 170324: Cerebrospinal fluid white blood cells
  8. 170325: Cerebrospinal fluid red blood cells
  9. 170326: Cerebrospinal fluid volume measurement (mL)
  10. 170327: Cerebrospinal fluid panel
  11. 170328: Parathyroid hormone, serum/plasma (pg/mL)

3. Mappings

  • v23: 2,957 mappings
  • v25: 2,964 mappings
  • Net change: +7 mappings

Mapping source changes:

  • CIEL: 1,571 → 1,580 (+9)
  • SNOMED-CT: 526 → 530 (+4)
  • LOINC: 288 → 289 (+1)
  • IMO-ProcedureIT: 160 → 163 (+3)
  • PIH: 102 → 97 (-5)
  • MSF: 5 → 0 (-5) (removed)

4. MSF mappings removed (5 total)

All MSF mappings removed were self-referential (same code on both sides):

  • 4297 → 4297 [MSF]
  • 4296 → 4296 [MSF]
  • 4295 → 4295 [MSF]
  • 4294 → 4294 [MSF]
  • 4293 → 4293 [MSF]

5. CIEL mappings added

New CIEL mappings added for the new concepts, including:

  • Direct mappings for new concepts (159646, 168216, 170323, 170324, 170325, 170326)
  • Panel mappings for 170327 (Cerebrospinal fluid panel) linking to multiple CIEL concepts
