Solart is a Windows Forms application for calculating solar energy efficiency and related parameters, such as:
- Number of daylight hours
- Solar azimuth angle
- Sunset hour angle
- And more
This tool was developed as part of the PHYS471-Solar Energy course during my senior year in the Physics Department. It was used to perform calculations for a term project titled:
Photovoltaic System Application for Eskişehir’s Light Rail Transporting System (EsTram)
The project was also submitted for the European Solar Prize 2015.
- Calculate key solar parameters for energy efficiency analysis
- User-friendly Windows Forms interface
- Based on equations from the book:
- Solar Engineering of Thermal Processes
- Author(s): John A. Duffie, William A. Beckman
- C#
- Windows Forms
