I’m an engineering leader and software architect based in Romania. I build AI-native SaaS platforms, lead technical teams, and turn ambiguous product problems into systems that can evolve.
I started writing software in 2005. Since then, I’ve worked across product and platform engineering at Hootsuite, Bolt, and Fabric—learning that good architecture is less about diagrams and more about making clear decisions under real constraints.
Today, I lead engineering at Fabric, where we help media and entertainment companies manage complex content catalogs.
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture and fine-grained authorization
- Metadata, ingestion, search, and developer platforms
- Production systems that are observable, understandable, and built to change
- Safe, legible interfaces between software systems and AI agents
On ovidiu.dev, I publish Engineering for the Agentic Era: practitioner notes on how AI changes architecture, infrastructure, tool selection, and the way engineering teams make decisions.
Away from work, I’m usually traveling, gaming, automating something at home, staying active, or reading about economics and markets.
