- SCP-6171 is a normal-looking Madagascar hissing cockroach that constantly emits a low level of radiation and can communicate using bursts of gamma radiation in Morse code. It displays unusually high intelligence for its species, having been observed manipulating objects and learning patterns. It is believed that SCP-6171 was once a human named Greg Copperfinch, who is now missing, and its messages often express confusion, distress, and a desire to return home to his wife, Margaret. It is contained in a lead glass terrarium, and personnel must wear protective suits when interacting with it.
