💡 What:

• Replaced the inefficient Replace chain in IsTheSame with an allocation-free loop that skips whitespace and performs case-insensitive comparison.
• Replaced string concatenation in GetIdentifier with StringBuilder.

🎯 Why:

• IsTheSame: The original implementation created 4+ intermediate string allocations per call (using Replace). Since this method is used for comparing generated code (potentially large strings), this created significant memory pressure. The new implementation is allocation-free (O(1) memory) and likely much faster (O(N) time).
• GetIdentifier: String concatenation in a loop is O(N²). Using StringBuilder makes it O(N).

📊 Impact:

• Significantly reduces allocations during code generation and comparison.
• Improved robustness for cross-platform line endings (ignores all whitespace types including \r and \n).

🔬 Measurement:

• Verified by code inspection (cannot run benchmarks due to environment constraints).
• Added ReferenceEquals check for instant return on identical objects.
• Added null check robustness to GetIdentifier.
