This doc with the clarification about the detection process and the checklist is much more informative than before. Nicely done!
The checklist actually illuminates where we have potential to remove unnecessary pain for the customer (transition period for API calls, domain-less shared links come to mind).
I've added a few suggestions which are super optional.
My only blocking request is that we avoid the words "new" when referring to the current Stats API and tracker script and to lower the priority of legacy information on this page.
