This repository contains the design files for a Raspberry Pi CM5 carrier board with PCIe, USB 3, HDMI, and Gigabit Ethernet support. This is currently a prototype and may still be revised.
- Based on the Raspberry Pi CM5 IO board, modified to include a PCIe x16 connector (currently wired as x1).
- Built using the Mini ITX Template by @Sulfuroid.
- Designed to provide a compact and cost-effective CM5 carrier solution, focusing on essentials: PCIe, USB 3, HDMI, and Gigabit Ethernet.
- High-speed areas are carefully laid out for USB 3 and PCIe, with dedicated ground planes and controlled differential pairs.
- KiCAD project files (v9)
- Schematics and PCB layout
- 3D models (some approximations — see below)
Some 3D models are required from the following sources and should be placed in the CM5IO.3shapes directory:
The models in the 3dmodels directory are from various manufacturers including Diodes, Hirose, MTCONN, Toby, TRXCOM. Terms and conditions remain with the original manufacturers.
- This is a prototype — feedback is welcome.
- Files are open-source under your chosen license.
- 3D models remain under their respective manufacturer’s terms.
