Why do you think so?! You should run examples in the interactive interpreter.

...     result = []
...     a, b = 0, 1
...     while a < n:
...         result.append(a)
...         a, b = b, a+b
...     return result
...     
>>> f100 = fib2(100)
>>> f100
[0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89]

Keep in mind, that error in the CPython Tutorial - a very severe issue. That's why it's a good idea - first ask for help in forum.
