Noticed on https://www.python.org/sponsors/application/ that the tick marks were resulting in hundreds of 404s for the tick-mark svgs that 2x doesn't even make sense for.
Only the python/psf logos were actually using this library for a savings of ~5kb each... so rather than fix it just remove retina.js and make these logos default.
