I would have liked to submit the two diagrams as mermaid, but these will require some stylistic review as I don't think mermaid can provide exact replacements; see #295.

that would make sense to me; I've submitted this one change because I could tell it had no risk of misleading anyone; for the actual diagrams, I want to make sure that your team is happy with the new ones as they might convey a slightly wrong meaning if done wrong ;)

If you're happy with the diagram I proposed in #295, I can add it to this PR, and try to draw the last remaining one which is simpler
