(first git contribution. Sorry if I did it wrong.) I did NOT use the build script or test it. Added everything by hand.
In mime.type
I uncommented the #text/markdown line & added 'md' as the extension
I added 'md' as an extension to the text/plain line
In mime.type.php
I added 'text/markdown' entry to the php array w/ 'md' as its only extension
I added 'md' as an extension to the 'text/plain' entry
I added 'md' entry to the php array w/ 'text/markdown' and 'text/plain' as it's types
