Aren't these keywords too long, i.e. it would be better to use "terminal", "cli" like Contour does? Other terminal emulators don't have keywords in metainfo but it would be good to be roughly standardized

I originally thought the same, but at this point, I think they work better like this. I think trying to standardize and having some kind of categories through that is a bit misguided.

In the end, it should be things, that you expect people to search for via online search or gnome software. Things that are not your app name.

Do you know if partial matching happens when searching? If in Flathub, GNOME Software or something else, when searching for "terminal", will it also match "terminal emulator"? Otherwise I think your reasoning is sound.

I don't know for gnome software, but I assumed, that it does.
