This PR was a temporary solution to handle special HMM-enabled GPU case that seemed to be causing issues in CI. But, I could unfortunately not reliably reproduce the issue on any machine (even HMM enabled ones) making this very difficult to debug and to know if this change actually solves the issue. For now we found a solution to avert the issue in cuML. I think it is better to close this PR for now. I will make sure to edit |
