When I run the command to create a DataTable, I get the error

This is because Livewire 4 no longer has the ComponentParser.php file (src/Features/SupportConsoleCommands/Commands /ComponentParser.php).

True, but it seems that this affects the make:datatable command, if this wasn't an as easy fix, that command could be temporarily removed as a way to allow upgrade to version 4 and soft fixed in a later update

Livewire v4 has strictly removed defer. While v3 already deprecated it, v4 might throw errors if wire:model.defer is rendered in the HTML.

Personally, I think it's best to wait for feedback from the top contributors (since they know the code best) on how complex the upgrade to both Livewire 4 and TailwindCSS 4 is. Having a human starting point would allow us to use AI to make the necessary changes and open a pull request.

How far are you guys to be able to release it, this is the last package that is blocking me to update to livewire 4. Thank you for all the work on this package, not looking for alternative. If there is a problem with the update maybe we can help?

Hey @rappasoft , it's fine if you're not going to support this going forward, but if that's the case, could you at least give someone else ownership of it to do this last update and then formally deprecated it? It would give the people who've locked themselves in here an opportunity to do a more planned migration away, instead of trying to hammer something in place in order to finish the rest of their Livewire 4 or Laravel 13 upgrade.
