This PR is a split of the original PR #45 (the original PR shall stay open until completely done).
This PR merges some classes (such as WoolTrait into ChildProcess/Process), as they are only used there. I'm not aware of any custom adapters using them (my pthreads adapter does not use them).
I talked about this already with @WyriHaximus some while ago.
