It seems that we need sudo for gem update:

% gem update
Updating installed gems
Updating bigdecimal
ERROR:  While executing gem ... (Gem::FilePermissionError)
    You don't have write permissions for the /var/lib/gems/2.3.0 directory.

Can you confirm it again?

One more question. We need to update all gems? Or we need to update only rake gem?

Install Arrow GLib before install Red Arrow. Use [packages.red-data-tools.org](https://github.com/red-data-tools/packages.red-data-tools.org) for installing Arrow GLib.
