Wokot Engine

Anti-bigotry game engine

Wokot Engine has been forked from Godot to root out bigotry and let developers focus on creativity and gameplay instead of dealing with toxicity after it infiltrates your project.

Key features

  • Cross-platform support

Deploy to Windows, macOS, Linux and Android without extra configuration.

  • MIT license

Like Godot, Wokot is also free and open source.

  • Community-driven

Wokot Engine is developed by contributors who share a commitment to anti-bigotry.

Why choose Wokot?

  • Built-in anti-bigotry

Prevent racist or homophobic content from ever taking hold in your game projects.

  • True ownership

Your code and assets remain 100% yours. There are no strings attached — except a firm stand against hate.

Original story

Wokot emerged from a rift in the Godot community chatspaces - "CAFE" and "PLUSH" - where moderation philosophies clashed.

CAFE upheld rigorous anti-bigotry standards, while PLUSH gravitated toward neutrality that inadvertently sheltered harassing voices. Wokot preserves CAFE's ethos, ensuring that every contributor and user can participate free from threats, slurs or oppressive rhetoric.

Contributing

  • Fork the Godot Engine and open a Pull Request there.
  • Join the moderated chatspaces to collaborate on features and policies.
  • Report issues and propose improvements on GitHub.

Contributions follow Godot Engine's Code of Conduct.

No harassment. No bigotry.

Credits

Thanks to everyone moderating the open-source communities and helping Wokot's vision.

Your commitment ensures that games remain a force for unity.
