About The Project

KakaoStory Enhanced is a project started to implement the Discord-style dark theme in the web version of KakaoStory. At present, it provides useful features in addition to the Discord-style dark theme.

Getting Started

This part explains how to install KakaoStory Enhanced in your web browser.

Prerequisites

Using KakaoStory Enhanced requires the following items:

• HTML5 supported browsers

  • Chrome(or chromium-based browsers)
  • Firefox
  • Safari(Some features not supported)

• Userscript supported extensions

  • Tampermonkey: Chrome / Firefox / Safari
  • Greasemonkey: Firefox
  • Userscripts Safari: Safari
  • Other userscript supported extensions

⚠️ Userscript extensions using ManifestV3(Tampermonkey, etc.) require developer mode to be enabled. Currently, this setup is needed for chrome or chromium-based browsers only. However, in the future Firefox and Safari may be needed to set-up. Follow the steps below to learn how to enable developer mode.

• Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions(Extensions page).
  2. Click Developer mode(switch button) to enable developer mode.

• Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and navigate to edge://extensions(Extensions page).
  2. Click Developer mode(switch button) to enable developer mode.

Installation

1. Click here to install the userscript.
   • When the user Script installation tab appears, click Install to install it.
2. Refresh opened KakaoStory web page!
